Answers to common concerns about waxing, aftercare, and choosing the right treatment.
Most clients enjoy smooth, hair-free results for three to six weeks. Duration varies by individual hair growth, treatment area, and aftercare. Regular appointments and exfoliation extend results. We’ll recommend a personalized schedule for optimal timing and maintenance.
Sensation varies by area and pain tolerance; most clients report quick stinging that subsides. Hard wax and CBD-infused wax minimize discomfort. We use calming techniques, recommend avoiding caffeine and working out beforehand, and can suggest topical numbing for very sensitive clients.
Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy, but skin can be more sensitive and prone to inflammation. Notify your technician and doctor if concerned. We can adjust techniques, avoid CBD if advised, and take extra care for comfort. Some clients delay intensive treatments in first trimester.
Before waxing, ensure hair is about a quarter inch, avoid retinoids and harsh exfoliants, and skip tanning. Aftercare: avoid hot baths and intense exercise for 24 to 48 hours, gently exfoliate after 48 hours, moisturize, and wear loose clothing to prevent irritation.
For sensitive skin, hard wax and CBD-infused wax are recommended because they adhere to hair, not skin, reducing irritation. We perform patch tests, use calming post-wax serums, and employ gentle techniques to minimize redness and accelerate recovery.
