Lash extension services include wispy lash extensions professional application creating soft natural fluttery appearance - this style blends different lengths for textured dimensional look mimicking natural lash pattern with wispy feathered effect; and volume lash extensions application creating full highly dramatic luxurious look - multiple finer extensions applied to each natural lash for maximum fullness and impact. Both styles provide beautiful enhancement customized to your eye shape and desired look. From natural wispy to dramatic volume, we create gorgeous lashes enhancing your natural beauty. Professional application by experienced lash artists ensuring beautiful results lasting weeks.
Wispy lash extensions create soft natural fluttery appearance by blending different lengths creating textured dimensional look. Mimics natural lash pattern with some lashes longer creating wispy feathered effect - more natural yet noticeable enhancement. Volume lash extensions create full highly dramatic luxurious look using specialized technique applying multiple ultra-fine extensions (typically 2-6) to each natural lash creating fan effect. Maximum fullness and density with glamorous impact. Choose wispy for natural everyday look with texture and dimension or volume for dramatic full glamorous lashes for special occasions or bold daily style. Both beautiful - depends on desired effect and personal style preference.
Lash extensions follow natural lash growth cycle typically lasting 3-6 weeks with proper care. Natural lashes shed every 6-8 weeks taking attached extensions with them. Most clients maintain 60-80% fullness for 2-3 weeks before needing refill. Individual lashes shed daily (3-5 natural lashes per day normal) taking extensions. Regular refills every 2-3 weeks maintain consistent fullness replacing shed extensions. Longevity depends on natural lash cycle, aftercare routine, oil exposure, lifestyle factors, and how well you care for them. Proper care maximizes retention between refills. With regular maintenance appointments every 2-3 weeks, you can maintain beautiful full lashes indefinitely.
Lash extension aftercare: avoid water and steam 24-48 hours after application allowing adhesive to fully cure, cleanse lashes daily with oil-free lash cleanser using gentle downward motions removing makeup and buildup, brush lashes daily with clean spoolie keeping them fluffy and separated, avoid oil-based products near eyes as oil breaks down adhesive, don't rub or pull lashes, sleep on back or side avoiding crushing into pillow, avoid mascara (unnecessary with extensions - if must use, only water-based on tips), skip lash curlers as extensions are pre-curved, and book regular refills every 2-3 weeks. Proper care maximizes retention keeping lashes beautiful longer between appointments.
Yes, lash extensions are safe when applied properly by trained professional and cared for correctly. We use professional-grade adhesive and high-quality synthetic extensions applied to individual natural lashes - never touching skin. Each natural lash isolated preventing lashes from sticking together. Damage occurs from poor application (too heavy extensions, too much glue, multiple lashes glued together), picking or pulling extensions, or improper removal. Our professional application technique ensures appropriate weight extensions for your natural lashes, proper adhesive amount, and individual lash isolation. With proper application and aftercare, lash extensions do not damage natural lashes. Natural shedding with extensions is normal - you simply notice more because extensions make shed lashes visible.
Full set of lash extensions typically takes 1.5-2.5 hours depending on style and natural lash density. Wispy lash extensions may take slightly less time than volume extensions due to technique complexity. Volume extensions require creating individual fans for each natural lash - more time-intensive than applying single extensions. First appointment often takes longer as lash artist assesses your natural lashes, discusses desired look, and customizes application. Refill appointments typically take 45-90 minutes depending on time since last fill and how many lashes need replacement. Plan to lie comfortably with eyes closed throughout appointment. Relaxing peaceful process - many clients find it meditative or fall asleep during application.
When applied correctly by trained professional and cared for properly, lash extensions do not damage natural lashes. Damage occurs from poor application technique (extensions too heavy, improper isolation, excessive glue), picking or pulling at extensions, or improper removal. Our professional lash artists use appropriate weight extensions for your natural lashes, isolate each lash preventing them from sticking together, and apply proper amount of adhesive. We monitor your natural lash health during refills. Natural lash shedding with extensions is normal part of lash cycle - happens anyway but more noticeable with extensions. Professional application and proper aftercare ensure healthy natural lashes underneath. Never pull or pick at extensions - have them professionally removed.
Mascara generally not needed or recommended with lash extensions - extensions provide volume, length, and curl eliminating daily mascara need. If you must wear mascara, only use water-based formula (never waterproof or oil-based) and apply only to tips never base of extensions. Waterproof mascara requires oil-based remover which breaks down lash adhesive causing premature shedding. Mascara on extensions also makes them clumpy, difficult to clean, and shortens extension lifespan. Most clients find mascara unnecessary with extensions - that's the whole point of having extensions! If you feel you need more fullness, consider moving to more dramatic style or adding more extensions rather than using mascara.
Yes, after initial 24-48 hour curing period, you can shower, swim, and participate in normal activities with lash extensions. Avoid water and steam first 24-48 hours allowing adhesive to fully bond. After that, water exposure is fine though some precautions maximize retention: rinse lashes with clean water after swimming (especially chlorine or salt water), gently pat dry with towel and brush with clean spoolie, avoid direct high-pressure water streams on lashes, and cleanse regularly removing any buildup. While extensions are water-resistant, excessive exposure (daily swimming, long hot showers, saunas) can reduce retention requiring more frequent refills. Most daily water exposure is perfectly fine with proper aftercare.
Lash adhesive allergies are rare but possible. Symptoms include persistent redness, itching, swelling, or irritation beyond initial 24-hour period. If you have history of adhesive allergies or sensitive skin, inform lash artist before application. We can perform patch test applying few extensions to see if reaction occurs before full set. If allergic reaction develops, extensions must be professionally removed immediately. Unfortunately, if allergic to cyanoacrylate (main adhesive ingredient), lash extensions may not be suitable as all professional lash adhesives contain this component. Some clients tolerate certain adhesive formulations better than others. Discuss concerns during consultation ensuring safe comfortable experience.
Choose wispy lash extensions for soft natural everyday look, textured dimensional appearance, first-time lash extensions, professional/workplace-appropriate enhancement, or if you prefer subtle wispy feathered effect. Choose volume lash extensions for dramatic full glamorous look, maximum fullness and density, special occasions or bold daily style, sparse natural lashes needing extra fullness, or if you love high-impact makeup looks. Consider your lifestyle, daily makeup routine, workplace dress code, and personal style. Consultation with lash artist helps determine best style for your eye shape, natural lashes, and desired look. Can also alternate between styles - wispy for everyday and volume for special occasions. Many clients start with wispy then progress to volume as they become comfortable with extensions.
Lash extension refills typically needed every 2-3 weeks maintaining fullness and appearance. Natural lash cycle causes 3-5 lashes to shed daily taking attached extensions. After 2 weeks, noticeable gaps appear as natural shedding occurs. After 3 weeks, significant loss requires extensive work or new full set rather than simple refill. Most clients find 2-week refills maintain consistently full beautiful lashes. Some with slower lash cycles or excellent retention stretch to 3 weeks. Waiting longer than 3 weeks between appointments typically requires new full set as too few extensions remain for effective refill. Regular 2-3 week appointments most cost-effective maintaining gorgeous lashes continuously.
Yes, contact lens wearers and glasses wearers can absolutely get lash extensions. For contacts, remove them before appointment - eyes remain closed during application so contacts unnecessary and can cause discomfort. Bring glasses to wear home. Some find temporary sensitivity to adhesive fumes more noticeable with contacts. For glasses wearers, extensions and glasses work beautifully together - in fact, many love extensions because lashes don't hit glasses lenses like mascara clumps do. Extensions frame eyes beautifully behind glasses adding definition visible even with eyewear. Inform lash artist you wear contacts or glasses during consultation but neither prevents enjoying beautiful lash extensions.
Lash appointment begins with consultation discussing desired style, length, and curl. You'll lie comfortably on bed with eyes closed throughout service. Under-eye gel pads applied protecting lower lashes and skin. Lash artist isolates each natural lash applying extension(s) using precise technique with professional adhesive. Process is relaxing - many clients fall asleep. No pain or discomfort when properly applied. After completion, artist checks work and provides aftercare instructions. Avoid water and steam 24-48 hours. May feel slight stiffness initially as you adjust to extensions. Within day or two, they feel completely natural. Wake up every morning with beautiful full lashes - no mascara needed!
Yes, lash refills maintain your extensions by replacing shed lashes and filling in gaps. Refills recommended every 2-3 weeks keeping lashes consistently full and beautiful. During refill appointment, lash artist removes any grown-out or twisted extensions, cleans remaining lashes, and applies new extensions where natural lashes have shed or grown. Refills take less time than full sets (typically 45-90 minutes) and cost less as they're maintenance rather than complete application. Regular refills most cost-effective way to maintain gorgeous lashes continuously. Waiting longer than 3 weeks often requires new full set as too many extensions have shed for simple refill. Book refills consistently maintaining perfect lashes.
